Swedish
The classic modality, Swedish massage promotes ultimate relaxation. By use of smooth, gliding strokes and moderately firm pressure, Swedish massage gently eases muscle tension, promotes circulation, and induces a pervasive calm that will leave the muscles feeling both relaxed, and rejuvenated.
Deep Tissue Massage
Designed to alleviate severe tension, deep tissue massage targets chronically tight areas of the body by applying a slow, firm pressure. This modality is especially needful for those who lack the normal range of motion or suffer from overworked muscles due to injury or prolonged holding patterns.
Prenatal Massage
Pregnancy massage focuses on addressing the special needs of expecting women. Cushions and side-lying postures are used to prevent putting pressure on the abdomen. Research shows prenatal massage therapy can help reduce anxiety, decrease symptoms of depression, relieve muscle aches and joint pains, and improve labor outcomes and newborn health. Some benefits include hormone regulation, reduction of swelling, and improvement of nerve pain.
Ashiatsu
The original sports massage, Ashiatsu is an ancient technique done barefoot to deliver broad, firm pressure. The therapist uses the weight of their feet and body to perform smooth, consistent strokes — thus accessing the muscles on a deeper level, and promoting a more profound level of healing. This modality targets the posterior side of the body, making it ideal for those with back, glute, or leg tension. Ashiatsu is not suitable for everyone. Please call in advance if you are unsure.
Thai Abdominal & Psoas Release
Also called Tok Sen, the objective of Thai Abdominal Massage is to release physical, emotional, and energetic stagnation at various levels of the body. This modality aids in the detoxification and cleansing of internal organs, strengthening of the immune system, and promoting elimination.
Together with the Psoas Release (a deep back muscle), they can greatly assist in the restoration of proper posture, and correct visceral imbalances.
Thai Stretching
Performed on a floor mat as opposed to a massage table, Thai Massage is facilitated stretching combined with rhythmic compression — designed to relax and loosen the entire body. The client will remain dressed in clothing suitable for stretching, and will play a more active roll in the treatment session. This modality provides greater range of motion to those with stiff joints or tight muscles, and is also commonly used as a way to balance energy.
Lymphatic Drainage
Lymphatic Drainage is a very gentle light massage that helps to direct lymphatic fluid toward the lymph nodes. The lymphatic system is part of your immune system and cleans toxins, proteins, cancer cells, viruses, and dead cells about 20 times faster than the body is able to do on its own. Once a large amount of toxins are eliminated, the body is able to relax more deeply and use its energy more directly to regenerate the cells.

(MLD) is a gentle manual treatment technique intended to encourage the natural drainage of the lymph & to improve the activity of the lymph vessels. MLD can be used effectively for pain control & to alleviate edema caused by several auto immune disorders in addition to post-op & post-traumatic event recovery. Some examples include; Migraines, Fibromyalgia & Chronic Fatigue.
Applied Neuromuscular Integration – A total Muscle Release
Accomplished using applied Kinesiology to test/isolate muscles that are shut down due to overuse and/or injury. Muscle reactivation is possible when a precise sequence of trigger points are implemented. Chronic & acute injury can return to optimal condition with marked ROM improvement.
Reflexology
Also known as Zone Therapy, Reflexology is based on the theory that the entire body, including organs, is mapped out on the feet, hands, and head. By applying pressure to a specific point, the therapist may access a corresponding location on the body, and thus access areas otherwise unreachable. Reflexology has been known to enhance brain and nerve function, increase energy, eliminate toxins, and improve blood circulation.
